Please remember: The 2010 Pennsylvania Fishing Summary

NOTE: It is not a violation of the bass regulations if a bass is immediately returned unharmed to the waters from which it was taken. It is unlawful for an angler to cast repeatedly into a clearly visible bass spawning nest or redd in an effort to catch or take bass.

One can continue to bass fish with an immediate release. If an angler is seen repeatedly tossing to visible spawning beds, they can be fined. No one is above the law.

There will be no tournaments during this time period for a reason. To prevent the taking of bass from the bed and to give the fry a fighting chance for survival.
