2010 'Boobs and Tubes' Gathering

Hello Folks,

We decided to finish out February 2101 with our annual gathering for the 2010 'Boobs and Tubes'. Last year's event was canceled due to my many surgical procedures in February 2009. We could not allow this year's Pa Posse tradition to die from lack of participation. So, eight ancient men and one young pup revived the ago-old tradition once again. :)

Our day started out at the Capitol Diner in Harrisburg, Pa. for a hearty breakfast with good friends and fellowship.

The early arrivals included Mike Burton, Petey Hanford, Josh Kreider (smallieman) and yours truly, dad.

We ordered our drinks and breakfast and as we were eating, Jim (Old Crow) and ScottyDog Sundy joined us.

Around 10:00 a.m., we finished our breakfast and headed on over to the Bass Pro Shop for their Annual Spring Fishing Sale. Mike Burton grabbed a shopping cart and away we went to explore the sales in the fishing department.

The first person we came across was Kevin from the Lancaster County Hawg Hunters. Kevin works part-time at the Harrisburg, Pa. BPS. He filled us in on the going-ons for Kevin Van Dam. KVD was at the BPS the day before. He told us that our good friend and my ex-tournament partner (90's), Buddy Long, got to pick up KVD in Philadelphia and drive him to NYC! Knowing Buddy, I bet he was in 7th Heaven.

Here's a pic of Kevin, Mike Burton, and Josh Kreider in the BPS Reel Department.

Big ScottyDog Sundy and I broke from the pack for a few minutes and hit the fly shop. We met up with Bobby Clouser, Jr. and took the following photo to prove to his dad that he really does show up and actually works! :)

In our adventures, ScottyDog came across some good prices. He especially liked the prices on these spinnerbaits.

Josh came across a "Catch and Keep" item and thought he would try it out on one of the guys. So, as ScottyDog walked by, Josh reached out and, with great skill, gaffed ScottyDog. What a Catch!!

After spending all our our allotted funds for fishing supplies, it was time for the Pa Posse to leave BPS. We needed to save some cash for the third leg of our trip... Hooters for Lunch!

ScottyDog and Old Crow needed to depart the group for other obligations. So, we ended up with a group of six traveling down I-83 to the restaurant.

Mike, Petey, and I arrived first and set the stage for 'Josh's Birthday' with our waitress, Kim.

Here's a shot of Petey 'scoping out the ASSets' prior to the arrival of Daryl and Josh.

We added an additional and an original Pa Posse Member to our Hooters' gathering... Timmy Hanford!

Here's a pic of the Hanford Brothers. Most are not sure which is the most handsome. Petey says it's Timmy and Timmy says it's Petey... I'll let you be the judge on that one. LOL!

My opinion is that they're both "fugly." (I can say that since I'm "dad") :)

We have a story to tell about Josh (The Truck Driver) and Daryl. As we were waiting in the check out line at BPS, Daryl asked me if I would wait for him so he could follow us to Hooters. "Of course, Daryl", I said. But Josh chirped up and said, "Why don't I drive with you because I know where it is?" Great, a plan was made then for Mike to stay with me as Josh would "direct" Daryl to the Mechanicsburg, Pa. Hooters.

dad - "Josh, make sure you follow 83 South to 581 to the Carlisle Pike Exit!"

Josh - "I know, I know! I know how to get there! (I'm a truck driver)" LMAO!

Well, as it would happen, Josh and Daryl were the first to leave the BPS and the last to arrive at Hooters. Why? Because they got LOST!

Yep! "I know where I'm going" became "We're Lost!" After Mike spoke to Josh on the cell phone and directed him back on track, they finally arrived safe and sound at the restaurant... Thank goodness! We couldn't have our 2010 "'Boobs and Tubes' Birthady Boy missing his own party with the Hooter girls, now could we!?

We all had a great time at Hooters. We introduced our waitress, Kim, to the now Very Happy Birthday Boy, Josh.

We ordered our liquid refreshments and food and settled in for a good time.

Josh is munching down on a dozen World Famous Hooters' Wings!

Photobucket

We had Buffalo Shrmp, Wings, Ham and Cheese Sandwiches, Burgers, cole slaw, and Pickles... Hmmmmmmmm!

Daryl and dad... The Christmas Babies!

Let Josh's Birthday Party Begin!

Kim broke out the ole' Hula Hoops to see just how well Josh can move those hips.
Photobucket

Well, I believe that Kim looked much better doing the Hula Hoop than Josh! In fact, Josh couldn't even keep it up (That's what she said!) :)

Photobucket

Daryl is wondering, "What the heck is Josh up to now!!"

Photobucket

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOSH!

Before we left for parts unknown, Josh got one more hug and smile from our waitress, Kim. I know that Josh didn't get lost on the way home. Why? Because I drove him back to his apartment! LOL!
